About the Purchase Process
|
Thank you for showing interest in my sculptures.
Every sculpture I sell is made individually by me at the foundry. I don’t mass produce anything so it takes a little longer to get them to you, but I can usually get them finished, signed, and shipped in about eight weeks.

Starting the Process
When you're confident about wanting to start the purchase process, you can place a deposit on a sculpture that is for sale. That deposit allows us to move forward with scheduling a FaceTime call where we can talk about your desired location, your installation options and the shipping process.
We can also discuss your preferred style and patina. Patina is the process of adding color to the bronze - this is done using a blow torch and different acids to create different colors. Really fun and dramatic. Or you can just leave those decisions up to me.
From there, we will continue our communication throughout the process. When I am at the foundry working on the piece, we can FaceTime again so that I can show you the work in progress,

"Ta-Da!" and Home & Garden Sculptures
These pieces will need to be professionally installed and the location and setting is crucial to making the sculpture really work for you.
In our FaceTime call, I can explain what kind of foundation you will need to install in order to secure the sculpture. I have designed them to be easily installed - most just require a concrete pad, maybe 6” deep. The sculpture comes with posts on the bottom that will go into the concrete to secure it. These weigh hundreds of pound and safety is very important, especially because young people love to climb all over them.
I have art shipping companies that deliver these pieces all over the country and the world. These sculptures can be installed with two competent workers and a forklift. We can figure out the costs of those in our initial discussion so we can make sure you are comfortable with every thing before plopping down an enormous sum of cash like this. But hopefully by including you in the process., you will see all the craftspeople and equipment it takes to make one of these suckers, and you will have a good experience as well as an original sculpture of mine.

Table Top Sculptures
The table top sculptures are made of high-quality bronze. Bronze is incredibly strong and weighty and will last forever, Literally. I have sculpted the figures in clay and made a mold of them. I take the mold to the foundry, where we will make an original, signed bronze edition of the piece, with a custom patina and a marble base with a built-in turntable.
These do require a crate to be built for shipping, and they are heavy. We've included the price of crating & shipping in the listed price though, so you won't have to worry about any of that.

Toys
The toys are made of steel. I coat them in a clear, gloss coating to protect them and make them shine. You can spray them once in a while to protect them or you can just let them go and in a few years they will probably start to rust. (I like them rusty too.)
If you want me to hand paint them as they appear in the little videos, I will do it. But it will be a little more expensive because I have to bring them back to my studio to paint them and then back to the foundry for shipping. I love doing it though, and I think they look cool that way. You can always paint them yourself if you want to, as well. I use very fine paint pens, available at any art store.
The larger, stainless steel toys don’t get painted. The stainless is too beautiful on its own to mess it up. They come polished and waxed.

Remember that 10% of the profits are donated to Boys & Girls Clubs of America, an organization near and dear to my heart. serving millions of children everyday in communities throughout the country and the world. And if you want to support a specific club, I would be happy to make the donation directly to them,
So if you want to buy one, let me know and I'll get started on it.
