We are very excited to present the survey results from the 2011 ACEP/Daniel Stern & Associates Clinical Emergency Medicine Compensation & Benefit Survey. Again this year our surveys are being conducted in conjunction with the American College of Emergency Medicine (ACEP). Thirteen hundred and eight (1,308) physicians participated in this clinical survey, responding from 50 states and the District of Columbia. The data reported in this survey is reflective of compensation received by respondents during calendar year 2010.

We also publish a separate academic report designed especially from data collected in a second survey we are conducting strictly for academic Emergency Medicine physicians. This year there were 225 physicians who participated in the academic survey.

Again this year we conducted a mini survey in conjunction with this year’s salary surveys, which contains current issues of importance to Emergency Medicine physicians.

904 clinical physicians and 109 academic physicians chose to participate in this mini survey, which is titled Trends, Predictions and Perceptions of Emergency Medicine Physicians.
